Formating Report with several subreports

I have a report which can vary in size a lot.
It is made up of the Main Report that summarises a series of events with the
client name , series name and other basic information. Then I have several
subreports based on various queries . The first subreport sits directly under
the main report and groups each event together. Then there are another series
of subreports under the grouped event report that hold detailed information
related to the resources for each event. Because the contents of each report
can vary a great deal, I am having real difficulty formating the report. I
would like to be able to some how determine how full each page is going to
get and from that control how the report will look. Also I would like one of
the subreports to be in landscape and the rest in potrait is this possible.

Sorry for the long winded description I hope it makes sense

Any help woud be really appreciated.

Let's say you have several subreports belong in a ClientID Group Footer.
Your issue is how to control the page breaks so this section looks right.

In the Sorting And Grouping box, you have set up a group footer on the
ClientID. On the next row, choose the ClientID field again, with a group
footer. You now have 2 ClientID group footers on your report. Move the 2nd
subreport down into the new group footer. Do it a 3rd time if you need
another ClientID group footer for a 3rd subreport.

Now that each subreport is in its own section, you can use the properties of
the group footer (in the Sorting And Grouping box), or the properties of the
section (in the Properties box when you select the section on the report) to
control where the page breaks go and to keep things together.
