in the on detail format event I used ,me.XXX.control source = "=(dddd)"
I get an error every time,can anyone help me out please??

Jerry, you are going to have to be a bit more specific. Use real field names
if you can, and tell us the intent of what you want working - how is it
supposed to come out for you?
