Replying to Message with Multiple Accounts

J

JC

I have Outlook 2000 with to separate Internet accounts
using different PST files. Call the accounts email-1 and
email-2. email-1 is the default: when I send a new
message, it goes out from that account. The problem is
that when I reply to or forward messages that come in
through email-2, they also get sent from email-1. I want
Outlook to send replies from the account to which the
original message was sent. Any ideas?

Thank you, JC

This is by design when you have two mailboxes configured in the same
profile. The primary mailbox (in this case email-1) will be the default
when replying and any messages sent from that profile will go into the Send
Items if the primary mailbox. The only way to do this natively would be to
create seperate profiles for each. There are third party tools available
though.

If you upgrade to OL2002/2003, it will handle this nicely for you.....

Lanwench - Please explain how Outlook 2002/2003 handles this. I have never
found a way to accomplish this.
