Replying/creating emails in Outlook locks PC?

When creating or replying to emails in Outlook 2002, it
locks the computer up. Gives me an error mesage that word
editor is not responding. Any suggestions to what I
should look at?

My first suggestion is to open Outlook click on Tools and

then options and click on the Mail Format tab. Does it
have a check mark by Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail
messages? If so do you have Word on your system?
