Reply not recorded in Sent Items

I'm used to O/Express and new to Outlook2003 so please bear with me if I'm asking the obvious. Whenever I reply to an email I cannot find my reply in the sent items folder. In OE a reply gets filed in sent items so where is it being filed in Outlook2003? Am I missing something glaringly obvious?

Have you enabled saving sent items? Tools>Options>E-mail Options. Check
the "Save copies of mesages in the Sent Items folder" box.

I got exactly the same problem.
Messages created with the Reply or Forward button won't be saved in the sent
items folder. Even "Save copies" in "E-mail Options" is enabled.
I also assume that recipients haven't got any of my reply messages because
they never answered to my mails.
This is a very annoying and inconvenient bug that should be fixed as quick
as possible. Can't do proper business with this software!

I got exactly the same problem.

Check your folder view settings in your sent items folder to make sure you
aren't filtering on anything.

I also assume that recipients haven't got any of my reply messages

Then perhaps they never got them? Don't know how your sent items issue would
be related to a recipient replying to something you sent....

What version of Outlook?
Note that "me too" posts aren't the best way to use usenet. Best to create a
new message with as much detail as possible to get help....
