Reply Messages Coming Back the same as what I sent

This doesn't happen every time, but occasionally when I send someone an
email, they reply and the response email doesn't include any of the reply
they wrote. In other words, if i write an email with a subject line that
says "Voicemail" that says "Hi Jim, did you get my voicemail from this
morning?" I will get a reply back to my inbox from Jim, with the subject line
that says "Re: Voicemail" with the exact same wording -- "Him Jim, did you
get my voicemail from this morning?" with absolutely no text from Jim.

Any suggestions on things I can do to prevent this?

Tell the senders to add something to the body of their reply.

The senders have written me responses, but they are not showing up. That is
the issue. They send me a response, but nothing shows up on my end.

Do you have any applications scanning incoming mail? If so, disable them
and see if that affects the outcome.

When they reply, use the webmail interface to your email account
instead of a local email client. Then you can see if the respondent
actually added something (that you actually got) and that the problem
is on your end and not up at your email provider or with the sender.
