Reply copies suddenly going to my inbox not sent file

When I reply to a message, my reply has suddenly started going to my inbox
and not the sent mail folder as it used to. When I type my replies, I have to
manually go to options and change the "save to" selection to sent files. How
do I change the default setting for this back to "sent" files? I can't find
it anywhere. Please help.
 
Tools > Options > Email Options > save copies of messages in sent items
folder
