Replied to message not marked as replied to

I have a user who has discovered that on occasion when he replies to a
message, the message he replied to is not marked as replied to. Has anyone
else seen this? We have seen this in Outlook 2002 & 2003. I can't figure
out why not.

I have seen this in my own mailbox as well. Once I sent a message to
several bcc recipients, one recipient replied to my message, I forwarded her
reply to another user and then replied to her reply. Her reply message to my
original message was not marked as replied to. Does this make sense?

seen this. So far, I haven't seen a definitive answer.
