Replication

How do you make your domain controllers replicate the active directory more
often? I have 2 W2K servers with Active Directory installed, and it takes
forever for account information to replicate. Also what settings in Active
Directory need to be made to make sure both servers will be able to
authenticate correctly in the event one server goes down.

Hi!

You can control the replication schedule using the AD
Sites and Services snap-in. The details are a bit
complex to go into here; there is lots of documentation
in the ADS&S help on this topic.

AS for one DC 'covering' for the other... if they are
both servicing the same domain then this happens
automatically. You shouldn't have to worry about missing
logons as long as one of the two DCs is up.

Hope this helps,
