replication monitoring problem

Hi
I have 2 AD servers running on Win2000 server as a backup of each other. I
have also install an outlook 2003 client and the support tools on the two
machines.

Now I tried to configure the support tools to send email to a designated a/c
on replication failure, but I found replmon will send email only if Replmon
is restarted and refreshed (under "view"), it doesn't seems to send further
notification even if the other AD server was brought back in operation and
afterward shut down again!

On my development machine, I am not able to get Replmon to write even to
event log (Application log) as documented!

Has anyone had used Replmon with success? Can you share your experience?

TIA

REPLMON really isn't an unattended monitor, it is a live interactive tool. If
you want to really monitor AD you should look at products designed to so that
such as Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM), etc.

Replmon is fine, and I found the problem to be with Outlook, i.e. everytime
Replmon tries to send message, it triggered an alert prompt. Now I just
need to figure out how to get rid of this prompt!

Thanks anyway.
