I am running Windows 2003 and have 3 sites. We have had no
problems over the last few weeks. I have the default site
link.

Today the main site servers have lost knowledge of the
servers in one of the other site. They no longer appear in
the NTDS replication entries under the server.

Are there any free tools to check the replication of the
AD?

All help and advice is appreciated,
Wilson.

I hav run RELPMON and added all the servers to the
replmon. None of them are reporting any errors. Sadly, I
have the following situation:

I believe that I should have the ISTG server in each site
knowing about a server in each of the others.
Site 1 Site 2 Site 3
Server 1a (ISTG) Server2a(ISTG) Server3a(ISTG)
Server 1b Server2b Server3b

I actually have this:
Servers only know of others in their site.

In site 2 servers know of themselves and a server in Site 3

In site 3 Servers know of themselves and servers in both
the other sites.

Can anyone offer me any tips and how to overcome this.

I have ad integrated DNS and I have rebooted all DC's in
the system. I have also executed a replicate now requeet
on all servers.

Thanks,
Wilson.

Did you check the IP site links?

Verify the costs. If you have

Site1 <--> site2
Site3 <-->Site1
Site2 <-->Site3

Traffic may be going a different route
Example: Instead of Site1 going to Site3
The traffic may be going through site2 to get to site3.

In that case you won't see Site3 servers in Site1.

'ReplMon.exe' in the Support tools on your Windows CD-ROM would
probably help.
Or 'CheckRepl.vbs' in the Windows 2003 Resource Kit (you can download
it from www.microsoft.com).
