Windows XP, home edition was purchase in June 2003, from
Monarch Computer Systems, Tucker Georgia, and installed
sucessfully. The computer crashed Sep 2003 and hard disk
was reformated. Windows XP could not be reinstalled
because the CD rom disk was damaged.

The replacement center for Monarch Computer will not
replace the system disk (XP)"because itis not our
product".

The product code is:
MS#N09-00588 COA 00043-466-878-698

Can anyone tell me who makes replacement disks whose
product code Numers are: 00043-466-878-698?

Or was I sold a "hot" copy of Windows XP, home edition?

I have the sales invoice from Monarch Computer and
the "Certificate of authenticity" for the purchase of
Windows XP

(e-mail address removed)

It could be a OEM version of the Windows XP Home CD. If it is and if it was
sold by Monarch Computer, then they were not in their right.

Retail versions of the CD Microsoft will be respondible to replace the Cd,
for a fee. Just make sure you have the correct legal CD key (on the COA) .

Y.
