Hi,

I dragged the Word Pad listing from Accessories to my Desktop rather than
making a copy of it. Now Word Pad is no longer in Accessories. How do I get
it back there? I have Windows XP Pro. Thank you.

Drag it back again?
If you want a copy, then use right-click drag and use Copy Here.

Copy and paste this line into the Run box:
cmd.exe /c copy "%UserProfile%\Desktop\wordpad.exe" "%ProgramFiles%\Windows NT\Accessories"
(one line. no word-wrap)

Next time use the right mouse click and drag then choose to
create a shortcut instead of copy.

Or just right-click and drag it back. As you hover over the Start

Two other things that work:

change to the Desktop.

- To move a shortcut to the Desktop, right-click, click "Send To",
"Desktop (create shortcut)".

I want to thank each of you for your help. I have copied each of your
solutions and will use each in a practice session. Each of you have a real
