Replacing superscripts / subscripts Word 2000

Hi,

I frequently need to use chemical formulas in a document. One of my
co-workers asked me if there was a way to find the formula (without the
sub/superscript) and replace it with the formatted formula. I found a way to
find and replace in the knowledge base. Basically it says to format the
chemical name and copy it into the clipboard. In the edit/replace dialog box
type ^c to replace it with the clipboard contents.

• Microsoft Word 6.01 for Macintosh
• Microsoft Word 98 for Macintosh

Is there another way to do it in Word 2000? I searched and couldn't find
another way.

This method works in all versions of Word. The KB article is just old.

That's what I figured. I just thought there might have been changes to the
find/replace in new versions.

There have definitely been some improvements to the Find/Replace dialog
("Highlight all items found" is one recent addition that is very helpful),
but AFAIK, no functionality has been removed or changed.
