Replacing DC

I need to replace one of our domain controllers (we have
two) with a new DC running W2K3. I already run adprep, but
I need some info on what to do to replase the DC with a
new one, but keeping the same name.

Hi Marcelo,

Easiest thing to do is to first run dcpromo on the old domain controller,
demote it, rename it, and then shut it down if you like. Next, bring up the
new box, give it the proper name, and run dcpromo to make it a DC.

If the old machine holds any FSMOs, you'll have to transfer those to another
machine temporarily:
