Replacing bold and italics text

Guest

Hi all,
Does anyone know if there's a way in Word to replace all bold text with
normal text and all italics text with underlines?
Thanks for the help!

Use the replace function - you'll need to perform the two steps separately.

Find and Replace will do it. Click the More button on the dialog. Click the
Find field, click Format > Font and select Bold. Click the Replace field,
click Format > Font and select Regular. Similarly to convert italics to
underline.

Keyboard shortcuts also work here:

1. For the first replace, in the "Find what" field (which you will leave
blank), press Ctrl+B; in the "Replace with" field (also blank), press Ctrl+B
twice (to get Format: Font: Not Bold).

2. For the second replace, use Ctrl+I in the "Find what" field and Ctrl+I
twice, plus Ctrl+U (Format: Font: Not Italic, Underline), in the "Replace
with" field.
