Replacing and restoring Windows Explorer

S

Windows XP Home Edition. Ages ago I installed PowerDesk and chose the
option to use that as my default file manager rather than Windows
Explorer. How do I change the default back to Windows Explorer (or
choose another default file manager)?

I would assume that somewhere in the PowerDesk program options there
should be an option to return the default to Explorer.exe. If not
change the default shell in the registry at:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

Change the Shell entry to Explorer.exe
