replacing a damged file

i am running windows xp prof sp2 i am having problems
replacing a damged file taskman.exe how do i replace the
file.
 
Go to run type:cmd At the curser type:Sfc /Scannow
When the bar graph starts insert xp cd,exit the info page.When its
Thru,remove cd,type:CHKDSK C: /F
Agree to restart,then type:EXIT Restart computer
