mbsa NG not responding to this question

I am running xp pro and have downloaded version 2.0 of mbsa but it will not
initialise it says the catalog file is damged or an invalid catalog. I read
that this could be due to an MS hotfix not being installed but when I try to
install the relevant hotfix it says that I already have it...... what do I
do next?

You might try posting this in microsoft.public.security.baseline_analyzer.
