Unwanted? Posting in the warez groups is always based on demand, often made
in a subordinate discussion group or over IRC.
When a ISP goes to just text only usenet, the retention can be
up to a year in length.

....which isn't all that useful, since downloading a year's worth of headers
takes forever. Retention on binary groups is more important, because the
files are larger and take longer to download.
