Hi,

A friend of mine has got a HP laserjet 4 printer with a broken fuser
(RG5-0455). I have got a spare fuser for a laserjet 4plus (RG5-0880).
Would it be possible to use the newer fuser on the older printer?
Thanks for your attention,
EJ

No EJ, sorry but they are not compatible.

No, absolutely not. Apart from anything else, the rollers rotate at
different speeds!

However, if it's the lamp that's at fault, and you are careful, you
could change over the lamp (it's a fiddly job). The lamps are the same.
