Repeated Requests for Activation

I replaced a hard drive last year and successfully reactivated Windox XP at
that time. About 2 months ago I started getting sporadic requests to
reactivate Windows although I made no hardware (or software for that matter)
changes to my system. For the last two weeks. I have to activate windows
each time I boot-up (according to the software message, it activates
sucessfully). Anyone can help with this?

Thanks.

Try the following:

1. Reboot your computer into "Safe Mode".
2. Go to Start > Run and type: %systemroot%\system32
then press the Enter key.
3. Locate these two files: wpa.dbl and wpa.bak
4. Rename the wpa.dbl file to wpaold.dbl and wpa.bak to wpaold.bak
5. Reboot your computer into Normal mode.
6. Activate when requested to do so.
