Computer, after reinstalling XP due to prior problem, has no paging file. Fix
via install of Intel Application Accelerator. Begins crashing, when left
idle, about 20 minutes apart. Uninstall IAA, and re-install, along with
partner program (Intel Chipset Installation Utility). Again resumed crashing,
with error code: 0x0000000a (0x00000166, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804e59c3).
Supposedly related to driver. Checked in event log, to find that upon last
crash, stop code changed to: 0x0000000a (0x00000166, 0x00000002, 0x00000000,
0x804e5433). Unknown cause of error. Have also tried rollback to before
install of IAA, results in again loss of paging file.
Beyond fixing (Meaning clean install), or is there such a fix for this?

Hello
I cannot tell you what your error codes mean, but the thing that comes to
mind is have you installed the correct file for the chipset on your
motherboard? Also is your processor overclocked in any way? With regard to
your pagefile right click My Computer, select properties and click the
Advanced tab, press the settings button, click the advanced tab and press
the change button at the bottom of the form. Select the custom size radio
button and enter some values for the max and min size of the pagefile. There
is some debate about what values work best so you might like to search
google to get some ideas. Personally I use multiples of amount of physical
memory installed 1.5X as minimum and 3X as maximum, where X is the amount of
memory in the PC. My friends tell me that is a bit excessive, but it suits
me.

Already done so. I have 512MB of physical RAM installed, and a 768MB-1536MB
paging file. I'm completely unable to overclock due to a restrictive Dell
BIOS.
