Repeat Check disk on boot up

I got a XP Pro SP2 system just installed but repeatly will chkdsk after each
system boot. I suspect because I use the Intel G965SS board only has 1 IDE
slot where I connect it to 2 IDE DVD writers and I use ITE 8212F RAID card as
an IDE controller to link up 2 IDE hard disks. On Device Manager it shows
they are SCSI drives without showing the manufacturer ID like the directly
linked DVD writers. The problematic chkdsk on drive C is Western Disgital
WD120JB. Used WD diagnositics software extensively checked the disks and they
are perfect. Searching the knowledge base for weeks. Tried to reinstall XP a
few times, the problem happens again when I got every Windows update done
after 2 days effort (and the system is quite slow during the boot up process
after the 2nd installation). Frustrated a lot. Should I link up the RAID card
to DVD writer instead? Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.

Hi Will,

Thanks for suggestion. Too bad that I don't think I am techy enough to
subscribe and use that detail information. But from your experience will this
caused by the RAID card and will it be solved by directly connect the hard
disk to the mainboard?

Thanks
Savio
