Anyone know of a program dedicated to the repair of old photographs? I
need to remove creases, tears, dirt and fungus marks.

Have you tried Polaroid Dust & Scratch Remover?

for saying it - which is a recipe for the accumulation of bullshit.
 
Any graphics editing software, but you have to learn it, and put in the time
yourself (blood, sweat and tears). No software will do all you need to do
automatically - the Polaroid Dust & Scratch remover will do only that -
remove specks of 'dust' and scratches.

This looks like a good start, probably all I need to start off. I have
been using a lot of image editing programs but as Maris says, it does
take a lot of effort and I though I might be wasting my time.
