Repairing a Triple Boot, Can Anyone Help ??

Katy

Hi, can anyone help me repair my 2 yr.setup of WinME, Windows 2000 and WinXP
boot.

At the boot when I choose the operating system

-Windows ME
-Windows 2000 Professional *
-Windows XP (this link somehow got scrambled, because when I click on it,
it instead loads Windows 2000 and fails).
-Windows 2000 Professional (a bogus Windows 2000 option that is a result of
another repair with W2k repair).

Up until 3 weeks ago, the Windows ME and Windows 2000 only, were
accessible. That night, after restarting Windows 2000 and accessing
Windows ME, I suddenly get the error below:

"Invalid System Disk
Replace the disk and press any key" (there is no floppy in drive A)

Even if I lose Windows XP on there, I wouldn't mind. Resetting up that
tester machine would be a lot of work and if I could just fix the boot
loader, it would sure help, if that's all that's wrong with this.

I can still access Windows 2000 *. Is it possible the windows boot loader
is corrupt and can I replace that and how? Or editting the boot.ini ?
(need help with that too)

Is this worth a try even? Any advice is most welcome!!! If this should be
posted in a different group, please let me know that too.

Thanks in advance,
katy

If you repaired your 2000 installation after the XP was installed, then you
need to replace your NTLDR file. A Windows 2000 ntldr will not boot an XP
installation. Boot the XP CD use the recovery console to copy a valid
ntdlr file to the root of C:
