Repair Windows Installer

From the first few days of getting my new PC, I have had
trouble with the Windows Installer. I cannot get the
moajority of programs I want to use to install.

How can I repair/reinstall the nstaller so that I can
install software?

Some of your Windows Installer files that are on your hard disk are damaged
or are missing.

Did you receive an Error 1719?
