Repair W2k?

I started my W2k-CD to repair my OS as could be done with NT4, but it
seemed to start installation so I stopped it. Can it just repair?
If not, how much will be lost with a new installation, all programs but not
folders?

When you get to the first prompt, you should have the option to either
repair or install. The repair option is what you're looking for. If your CD
is an OEM version, the OEM may have altered this and you should check with
them.
