repair to get rid of a network

Wish I was diving

Guys, I need to get rid of a network because my computer is a total mess ever
since I connected my PC to my notebook. As I found out deleting a network is
not possible so my thought was repairing XP. The question is: will that solve
the problem or will the network still be there? If so, would a re-install do
the trick?
Thanks a lot in advance for your help!

If the repair works correctly the network will still be there, why not start
with the actual problem your having rather than trying to have someone
suggest/confirm a solution when we don't even know what the problem is.

Thanks David - and sorry for the late reply, really busy at the moment.
I had posted the problem before because of course it is correct what you are
saying. Bad thing is: I couldn't find a solution. Ever since I connected my
PC and Notebook to a network I have weird problems with programs that use the
internet (they start extremely slow - several minutes). I also found out that
for what I am doing a synchronization of data using an external drive and
Synch Toy is much more convenient. Therefore I came to the conclusion that
for the time being I just accept this annoyance because I will go for a
multiple user Vista in the nearer future anyway.
