Repair OUTLOOK-2003&2007 to HOLD view preference settings.

Help! Help!

Outlook needs to allow you to set view preferences to the way you want them,
so that when you open a folder,
it defaults to ReadingPane-OFF; ArrangedBy-Date~NOT-grouped; etc.
--if that is the way YOU want it.

Currently, in Outlooks 2003 and 2007, all new-folder views persist in
defaulting to ReadingPane-ON, ArrangedBy-Date~GROUPED, etc., with no apparent
way to reset the default.

Outlook 2003 is 5 years old, and 2007 is NEW.
Is there a patch for this irritation?
If not: why not / when ??

Solution, anyone?
