I am attempting to do a repair installation of Windows XP
professional, from a copy, using my Product Key. It
won't accept the key. Either I need to find a way for it
to accept the key, or to cancel the setup.

When I start the computer, it loads to win xp, and before
I can do anything it starts into the setup program trying
to do the repair installation. How can I abort it and
have it start normally?

Have you try the alt+ctrl+delete keys to get your windows
task manager window ??? If you haven't never try this you
must hold down at the same time those 3 keys and that
will bring up the windows task manager window ... If you
don't get this window to pop up then you are not doing
the keys right and you need to keep trying to you do ...
When you do get your window task manager window just
select the appilactions that look like the download and
then highlight it and click end task at the bottom , that
should stop it
