I replaced my mobo and processor and now I'm having trouble with my repair
installation of Windows XP.
Old version:
Antec 350w PS (model PS-352x, IIRC)
ECS K7S5A mobo
AMD AthlonXP 1700+
AMD stock heatsink and fan
OCS PC2700 DIMM (1 stick 512 meg)
Western Digital 15Gig hd
Sony DVD/CDRW, plug and play
New version is the same except:
ECS N2U400A mobo
AMD Athlon XP 2400+ thoroughbred cpu
Thermalright heatsink and 92mm fan
My repair installation stalls at the screen stating "Setup is starting
Windows."
I don't think it's my power supply, because I'm underclocking the FSB at
100mhz. All my hardware appears in the BIOS setup. All BIOS settings are very
conservative. Any suggestions?
