renaming picture files in Photo Gallery

I have tried to rename my pictures used in my FrontPage photo gallery.
I am only doing this because some of them have illegal file names when
I go to transfer the website using FTP.

Even though I have renamed all the files using FrontPage, there are
still the previous file names remaining for the thumbnails. I have
tried removing all the pictures in the file and re-inserting them. I
am still left with bogus file names and thumbnails that are blank. Do
I have to create a new source file for FrontPage to get it right? Is
there a better way to do this?

Have you tried choosing Recalculate Hyperlinks from the
Tools menu?

I'll bet it would be less time consuming to start all over! FP's Photo
Gallery is so quirky!.
