renaming network domain??

How do I rename a windows xp pro home network domain? Have two computers
that can not see one another because of this. For some reason, when
installing xp on one, I called it something other than the default. Called
it MSHOME. So I have one that is called MSHOME and one called WORKGROUP. I
can not seem to figure out how to rename one so that I can fileshare across
a home network via a router. Any help here please? Also, does it really
matter what the name is as long as it matches? Thanks much for your help.

In addition to what Mike told you, you will be renaming "workgroups" not "domains"
There is a difference.

You don't.

Home does not HAVE domains.

You can, however, change the WORKGROUP a computer with XP Home uses.
