Rename Server That Runs DHCP

Any issues with renaming a Windows 2000 member server
that is running DHCP? Just want to make sure DHCP won't
freak out when I change the name of the box.

DHCP is found by "broadcasting" a request and the first DHCP that responds
is the one that deals with it. Renaming should not do much more than maybe a
little "hiccup" the first time a client gets an IP from the new name, but
even that probably won't even happen.

I went ahead and renamed the box, all is working fine and
giving addresses, but I have a question.

In the DHCP manager, it is still showing the DHCP server
name as the old server name. I kind of thought that
would have auto adjusted itself to the new server name.

Will this cause any issues down the road? Is this due to
it being authroized in the AD domain as that name?

Under the DHCP Tree, right-click on ans delete the Server. Then right-click
on the DHCP Top of the Tree and pick Add Server.
