Rename Domain Controller

This is not an easy undertaking. Do you have multiple Domain Controllers in
your environment?

I might ask you why you want to do this?

No, I have only one Domain Controller in my environment.

Then I would proceed with great caution. You would be best advised to add
a second Domain Controller, let it replicate with the existing domain
controller ( the one that you want to rename ), dcpromo the first DC, change
the computer name, run dcpromo again ( to make it a DC ) and there you have
it.

Make sure that you have a really good backup of each Domain Controller...
