My brother accidentally deleted a large number of songs from his
PC. Fortunately we managed to recover the files using a freebie
called PC Inspector. The bad news is that they were all assigned a
generic file name when they recovered. The file attributes Title and
Track number still hold the correct info. Is there anyway way to
automatically use these two attributes to rename the files? A scipt
of some sort?

What he would like to see for the file name is Track Number-Title.

Did you look for them in the Recycle Bin? If it hasn't been emptied, they
are all right there and with the correct names, all info.

Can't help with a script.
