Rempte Procedure Call terminated unexpectedly

With a new install of Win XP Home, I keep getting an error
when I dial up to the internet after varied periods of
time that state that Remote Procedure Call service has
terminated unexpectedly and my computer is shutting down.
I then need to wait for the reboot to try again. Why am I
getting this error, and how can I fix it???

Cause: "W32.Blaster.Worm" or "MSBlast."
