Removing Zune

I recently bought Zune and installed the software on my computer. I am
running XP SP2. At first it synced up and transferred all my music to the
Zune. When I again tried to sync the zune with me computer it would not do
it. I did a lot of things including uninstalling and reinstalling the
program. Didn't help. I finally called the Zune help desk and spent about 3
hours with them. At one point they had me attempt to uninstall the program,
Zune, again. When I attempted to do so I get the following message:

"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is
unavailable."

"Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder
containing the installation package 'Zune.msi' in the box below.

When I click OK the following is displayed:

"The installation source for this product is not available. Verify
that the source exists and that you can access it."

I found a program called 'zune.msi' on the internet but when I pointed to
it, the machine said it was invalid as an installation disk. I do like the
Zune and want to keep it but not if my computer can't talk to it. So what I
need
is a way to remove the program from my computer and re-install it. The Zune
itself
does work as I loaded it on another computer but would prefer to use it on
this one.
Appreciate any help

It sounds like you installed the zune software from either another PC, or
from some device windows considers a networked computer, (from the device
itself?).

Get the media from where you originally installed the zune software and look
on that for zune.msi

You can run the setup again and you might be offered the option to repair,
uninstall. If not, install it again, then uninstall.

Add/Remove programs in control panel probably has these options also.
