I can't figure it out.

I'm trying to remove a temporary network I set up on my
router to transfer files over from a friends computer,
but now I can't figure out how to remove. I can delete
all the shortcut to folders that are there, but I can't
figure out how to remove the computers under the network
connection.

I'm running WinXP. Not sure how it'll affect my computer
since the network no longer exists.

Thanks

Jon

Hello
You do not set networks up on routers, all you need to do is unplug the
cables, wireless you can go into the network connections and delete or
disable the connection, you can also disable file sharing, Control
Panel>Folder Options>View>take the check mark out of Simple File Sharing,
you can also go to the Control Panel>Network Connections>Properties>uncheck
File and Print Sharing.

There's no explicit way to remove an obsolete workgroup or computer
name from My Network Places. It will automatically go away after a
while.
