No. What is downloaded will still be on your machine until you delete the
message.

Hi Cori,

Yes you will. I would backup the message before you deleted the email
account if you do not want to lose them. You can import them back into
any email account you want.

Backing up is always a good idea, though.

No. Windows Mail keeps the contents of folders intact, because there is
no direct tie between a folder and an account.
This is unlike Windows Live Mail which deletes all folders associated
with a deleted account.
