I have something like 30-40 processes running on the winxp. I was
wondering if there was a list or website with recommendations on what
is SAFE to end in order to speed up or at least make the comp run more
efficient?

thanks,

I have 46 processes - 30 - 40 not unusual. If you want to investigate the processes:-

the program finds.
