Websites and programs keep installing toolbars in IE 6.
I've uninstalled them but they still remain on the list
when you right-click. Where can I go in the registry to
clean up the toolbar list and get those fake entries out?

Evan,
Download ToolbarCop and run it http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/toolbarcop.htm. From the options menu, choose "Reset Internet Explorer Toolbar layout". Then, remove any additional toolbars if any.

Run all of the spyware removers given below:

Lavasoft Ad-Aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
SpyBot S&D - http://www.safer-networking.org/
CWShredder : http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/CWShredder.exe
Online Spyware scan: Do you have parasites?: http://aumha.org/a/noads.php
