Am trying to remove TCPIP and the uninstall button is dim. I am logged on as
local admin, I have checked for spyware.

When I do an IPCONFIG i get something to the effect of 'not a valid
request'. Not that the command isn't recognized though. IPCONFIG is running
but errors out.

I believe the IP stack got corrupted somehow and I need to remove it but
can't.

Thanks for any help

Start by running LSP-Fix (http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm) to see if that
resolves your TCP/IP stack problems.

Next, I'd uninstall the network card drivers in Device Manager, shut down
and remove or disable (whichever is appropriate) the network card, restart
and shut down again, then reinstall or re-enable (again, whichever fits) the
card and start up Windows. That should reinstall TCP/IP again.

The link http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm id dead but I did find it here
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lspfix.php in case anyone else has this
issue. I will try this tomorrow at work and let you know.

Thanks
