Hi,

I have suddenly lost internet connectivity. In fact - I have lost pretty
much all connectivity. Setup is:

Windows XP Home
Belkin f5d7633-4 ADSL modem/router connected to NIC
Using DHCP server on router

- The NIC seems to work (I have reinstalled it anyway)
- The router gives the machine an IP address / gateway etc. via DHCP (see
below)

- I have cleared the ARP cache:

netsh interface ip delete arpcache

- I have another machine connected to the router and it connects to the
internet without any problem
- Unable to ping router or other machine from problem PC

- I cannot ping anything else
- I have disabled all firewalls
- I have reset the TCP/IP stack (see output below)

Chris,

In scenarios like yours, ipconfig logs are most useful when compared between
working and non-working computers. Also, maybe some details would be of use:
# What error / problem do you observe when "cannot ping". Unknown host? Or
timeout?
# What changes have you made recently? Did this network setup work at one time?
How long ago did it stop working?

Consider LSP / Winsock corruption, in addition to "netsh int ip reset".

may help others in the future, and that's the purpose of these forums.
