I have removed the program with Add/Remove but there are still items
remaining. I have deleted individual items from the start menu and the
registry but they all reappear almost instantly. Is there a reason that i
cannot remove by delete?? Any assistance will be most appreciated. NB Panda
don't appear to have any clue as to why the software can't be totally removed
and their suggestions have been virtually useless.. adnar

You can try one more method that is deleting those items by running Windows
in Safe Mode. These kind of applications run as a service when windows start.
So, they are difficult to remove sometimes.

Boot up your computer and press F8 before "Starting Windows message" and
choose safe mode.

Yhank you rajkohli for your suggestion. I did as instructed starting with
Safe Mode however the result was the same. I deleted a registry entry then
poceeded to the next one and deleted it. I then checked the original one I
had deleted and it was back in its original position. I then went through
all of entries I could locate and deleted them and then rebooted. The otcome
the same again with all entries showing up in their original locations.
Please if anyone has an answer to this problem I would appreciate your input

We also could not remove Panda from a group of workstations using their
Uninstall feature, it tool about 40 minutes of editing the registry and
deleting files to rid the machines of the mess.

Thanks for the input on Panda. I believe that I have finally succeeded. I
visited Kelly's Korner and in the Tweaks link there were many options to work
with XP covering all topics.I checked out the msconfig entry and downloaded
Hijack This. I deleted using Hijack and then did a registry search (regidit<
computer<edit<find (typed in panda) then find next and deleted as the items
appeared. All appears clear as of now but i am keepling my fingers crossed.
Should the problem reoccur I shall post again. Thanks to all adnar
