Hi!

I am planning to remove my Windows 2000 Server SP4 box's pagefile from
system disk (drive c:) to different drive. Is it ok that I will do that?
Will there will be no effect on my server ? Btw, Im running AD(DC) on that.
My worry is if I remove the page file on drive c:, my server will crash.
Hope you could give me serious answers(I would expect that microsoft will
answer my question).

If you right click on My Computer and select Properties

<system properties> opens

advanced tab

performance options button

virtual memory > change button

set your c: drive page file to a minimal 2mb or so and your d: drive to
at least 1.5 times your RAM then exit out of the applet correctly it
will ask you to reboot

do a reboot and the page file will be created on the D: drive

A Microsoft employee may or may not answer your question but remember this is NOT a Microsoft support venue.
For that you'll have to open a supprt request with them.

To answer your question , No your server won't crash. You won't be able to debug on it but you probably don't care
about that.
