removing old domain completly

My company name is changed. Previously we had our NT4 domain with the old
company name. now we created a new w2k domain with new company name. now
there is no NT domain / any trusts. And we moved all systems membership to
new domain. the old NT4 domain controllers are switched off 6 months back.
But now when we browse the network, still it shows the old domain also. how
can I remove it? my new management asks why still the old domain name is
appearing? can anybody helpme please

If you have a WINS environment running possibly the name records are
tombstoned but haven't been deleted. Tombstoned records "may" be causing
this problem.
