Removing NT backup domain controller from AD

Zyxt

We have a Windows 2000-based active directory here at my company. However,
we still have an old legacy NT4 domain controller which is still configured
as a BDC in the domain. We no longer need this old machine, and I want to
permanently shut it down so we are left with nothing but Win2k domain
controllers. Are there any special steps required to properly remove this
machine from AD? I'm guessing I need to delete it from the Domain
Controllers group in AD. Anything else?
Thanks for your help.

Delete it from AD. I've seen old references in DNS etc after removal of
BDCs, take a look around with the DNS, WINS, Ntdsutil and similar tools to
ensure it's completely gone.
