Hi there

in the "My Computer" folder I can see a Network Drive on drive Z. this is
no longer a supported drive and I am trying to remove it.

I right click the icon and then click disconnect.

I receive an error claiming "The network connection could not be found."
and the icon remains. How can I remove the icon?

First see if it appears in "My Network Places", if it does, Right click on
the drive in question and click "Delete" in the popup menu. Although ghost
mapped/shared drives can be removed in this manner, to avoid any potential
"if it can happen - it may/can/will" disaster, make sure it is a rogue drive
showing and not an actual drive in use on the machine. Even though it
shouldn't cause any issue, you never know, strange things may/can/do happen.
